Salmon fishing charters from Homer produce consistent action year round!

The King Salmon fishing peak season begins in May and runs through August. Prime river run king salmon are present in May and Early June and again in July. They are the giants that everyone hears about, weighing anywhere from twenty five to seventy pounds. The feeder king salmon which are two to four year old fish, use Kachemak Bay as a staging area to fatten up and mature in to the huge salmon that go up the rivers to spawn. These fish range in size from fifteen to thirty five pounds and are probably the best tasting salmon in the world. The feeder king salmon are present year round. Silver Salmon are present in the bay from mid August to mid September and are great fun to catch. They are fresh from the open ocean and ready for a fight. A lot of people think these fish are the most fun to catch and the limit in salt water is three per day.

Inlet Charters has four or six passenger boats available for salmon charters. The boats have comfortable cabins and rest rooms and are equipped with quality fishing gear. Your catch will be expertly netted, bled, dressed and iced immediately upon entering the boat. Quality handling of your fish means a quality meal when you get home. $250.00 per person for a full day charter including fishing gear and bait.

Our Kenai River Fishing Guide Service is located in Soldotna, Alaska right on the banks of the world famous Kenai River. The Kenai River produces more record size King salmon than any other river in the world. The world record was caught here in May of 1985 (97 lbs 4oz King salmon). The Kenai river also has excellent fishing for Silver salmon, Red salmon, Pink salmon, trophy Rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. Halibut fishing is good from May to September, with boats leaving on a Daily basis out of Homer, weather permitting. Soldotna is 145 road miles from Anchorage or a 30 minute flight on a commuter airline to Kenai, then it's a 11 mile drive to Soldotna. Car rentals are available in Anchorage and Kenai. We recommend driving from Anchorage, as it is one of the most scenic drives you'll ever make.. Chances are that you'll see moose, bears, and Dall sheep.You'll be traveling over mountains, rivers and by glaciers on your way to the Kenai Peninsula.
